Mike goes on many hikes, but he finds something else he enjoys more. What could it be?

Mike went on a hike by a hill. He went a full mile.

Mike came back. “That was fun! Next time, I will hike for five miles!”

“My skills let me hike a lot!” Mike went on a hike for five miles.

“I feel fine! My legs could take me nine miles next time.”

Mike went for a nine-mile hike by the lake. It was long and made him gasp.

Mike did not quite like this hike. Mike was not fine.

Mike likes his hikes, but Mike did not like to go for nine miles!

The next time, Mike went on a bike ride. He went a full mile. “That was fun!”

Then, he went for five miles. “Not bad!”

The next time he went on a bike ride, Mike went for nine miles. Mike likes to bike!
